The history of the college of Educational Science dates back to Department of Education Management formed from the teaching and research sections of Public Pedagogy and Psychology in 1987. In 1998, the Department of Educational Science was established by merging the Department of Education Management, the Department of Vocational Education and the Audio-Visual Education Center. Beginning in 1999, two undergraduate programs, Pedagogy and Educational Technology, were offered. In 2002, the Department of Educational Science was renamed the Department of Education, and its educational technology specialty was incorporated into the Department of Computer and Educational Technology. In 2003, a third undergraduate program, Public Utilities Management, was added, with two more undergraduate programs, Human Resource Management and Applied Psychology, being established in 2005. 2007 witnessed the institution of another undergraduate program – Preschool Education.
